On the spot fines are in place to crack down on fare evasion and anti-social behaviour on the CityRail network.
Plain-clothed and uniformed Transit Officers are working closely with the NSW Police to enforce these fines and laws, so you could be caught at any time.

If you have been fined you will have been given a penalty notice with
payment required within 21 days. Payment can be made to the State Debt Recovery Office by mail, phone or online.
